In 2007 I applied for my Federal Fireams License. Since July 2007 I have been operating as a custom firearms manufacturer. I hold a Type-07 FFL and have paid my Special occupation Tax (SOT). That means that I am able to manufacturer, buy, sell, and transfer firearms, ammunition, and all items controlled under the National Firearms Act (NFA) to include machineguns and sound suppressors.

I spent 21 years in the Army as an 11B.  In 1985 I went through the Army's small unit armorers school.  I learned how to work on M1911s, M16s, M203s, M60s, and M2s.  For the next 20 years I always found myself helping out in the arms room.  I even spent some time doing depot level rebuilds on M16s. 

My last year in Uniform was spent in Northern Iraq working with the Kurds.  While there I learned all about the AK.  After getting home I started buying parts kits and assembling rifles from sheet metal receivers I cut and bent myself.  This was what finally pushed me into getting my FFL. 

Since then I have built and customized hundreds of ARs, AKs, and FALs for customers.  I am in the process of putting together a photo gallery displaying some of this work.

SRP is a part time business.  My online store is available 24 hours a day, however I am not.  As mentioned on the Contact page, email is the best way to reach me.  I try and respond to emails every evening after I get home from work.  But phone calls are typically returned on the weekend. I do have to prioritize them and I never have enough time to return all calls. This is also why I have set up this online store. All orders are placed through the website, even those for my local Colorado Springs customers.
